How do I merge two or more classes onto one seating plan?

The Custom Classes feature is available on whole-school subscriptions (Platinum or Gold)


Sometimes, the students in your classroom can come from multiple class groups on your school's MIS/SIS. It is now possible to merge these into one class using the Custom Classes tool.


  1. From the top menu, click the dropdown button next to 'Classes', then select 'Custom classes'.

  1. Click 'Create new custom class'.


  1. Give the class a name and an expiry date.

  1. From the 'Merge classes' panel, click 'Add all' next to each class you want to include. The list below will populate with the students from the class.


  1. Your changes will autosave after a few seconds.


  1. Next time you create a new seating plan, your new custom class (complete with data and photos) will be available.




Note that although the data attached to the students should stay up to date, the actual class lists of the merged classes will not. For example, if a student leaves or joins one of the source classes, you will need to update your Custom Class to reflect this.
