What does v1 and v2 mean on my classrooms and plans?

You have noticed little "v1" or "v2" labels appearing next to your rooms and seating plans.

Explanation:

The way classrooms have been laid out has barely changed since I launched Mega Seating Plan in October 2015. Seats are placed in a simple, inflexible grid around the classroom, one at a time. This is version 1.

The new, improved version 2 has involved a major redesign of how classrooms are laid out, with users now able to drag and drop shaped desks onto their classrooms, which can be freely resized or rotated. This has required significant changes to how the seating plans work, which means that some new features and upgrades (for example, tweaks to the Smart Sorting algorithm) will only be released for v2 plans.
