How do I sync homework assignments with Microsoft Teams or Google Classroom?
Can assignments and results be synced between Mega Seating Plan and Classroom/Teams?
Both Google and Microsoft impose restrictions on third-party apps (such as Mega Seating Plan) writing data back to their systems. This means that it is not possible for the result of a homework assignment (a mark, grade or 'handed in' status) to be written from Mega Seating Plan to Classroom or Teams.
The table below summarises what is possible. The assignments themselves can be synced in both directions between Mega Seating Plan and Classroom/Teams, while results can only be synced from Classroom/Teams to Mega Seating Plan.

How do I sync an assignment to Classroom/Teams?
When creating a new homework assignment, you will have the option to sync it to Google Classroom or Microsoft Teams, provided that class is already linked to Classroom/Teams. Note that this is only available when creating new assignments.
When the assignment is created, it will be written back to Classroom/Teams. This can sometimes take a few minutes to be processed at the other end. You may be asked to confirm your Google/Microsoft credentials, or authorise the appropriate permissions.
How do I sync assignments from Classroom/Teams to Mega Seating Plan?
At the top of the homework markbook page, click the 'Sync with Microsoft Teams' or 'Sync with Google Classroom' button. This button is only available if your class is already linked to Classroom/Teams.
This will synchronise homework assignments, pulling in any assignments for this class on Classroom/Teams and adding them to the markbook on Mega Seating Plan. It will also pull through any results entered for these assignments on Classroom/Teams.
