# How do I duplicate a room?

|| Are you sure you need to duplicate the room? Each room can be used to generate as many seating plans as you want.

| Duplicating a room is useful if you have two similar classrooms and you want to use the layout of one as the basis for the other

1. On the [Rooms](https://www.seatingplan.com/rooms) page, click on the three dots next to the room you want to duplicate.

2. From the menu, select 'Duplicate room'.
