# How do I display Smart Groups on my seating plan?

| Students assigned to Smart Groups can be colourfully displayed on your seating plans.

|| If you haven't already created Smart Groups for the class, [follow these instructions](https://help.seatingplan.com/en/article/how-do-i-use-smart-group-maker-1b2iea1/) first.

1. On the seating plan toolbar, click the 'Group mode' option.

2. Select the group set you want to display from the dropdown menu.

3. Your students will now be colour coded by their groups on your seating plan.
