How do I assign homework to students?

With Mega Seating Plan's homework tools, you can set homework tasks, share them quickly with students (online or offline) and record their completion directly on your seating plans.


  1. Go to the Classes tab of your dashboard (by clicking 'Classes' on the top toolbar).


  1. Under the appropriate class, click 'Homework markbook' (don't worry, you will be able to assign the homework to multiple classes).

  1. Click 'New assignment'

  1. Enter a title for your homework assignment and click 'Next'.

  1. Enter instructions for the task and select a start date and due date.

  1. If you want to attach files, drag and drop in the blue area (or click to browse).

  1. You can also share websites with students by simply typing or pasting the URL.



  1. Finally, select the classes you wish to assign the homework to. You may adjust their start/due dates if necessary.


  1. When you're happy, click 'Create assignment'. You will be greeted with a confirmation window showing details of the assignment and giving you some options for sharing with students.
