# How do I add colour codes to my students?

You can add colour codes to students. When you have 'data view' switched on you will see these as little stripes of colour on a student.

You can also make the colour code fill the seat by clicking the 'Full seat colour coding' switch.

**How to add colour codes**

1. Right click on a student on your seating plan.
2. Choose a colour from the bottom of the menu.
