# Can I customise the desk numbers?

By default, the desk numbers are populated incrementally from bottom-left to top-right. It is easy to add your own custom desk numbers, which could be useful for allocating computers or other equipment to students.

1. On the 'Edit room' page, double-click on any seating position.

2. Enter a custom desk number in the popup.

Now, when you toggle the 'Show desk numbers' button on your seating plans, your custom desk numbers will be displayed.
